I never knew that a game can be created through google slides. I learned that it is not only for presenting an idea, but it is for creating an actual game that is fun for others and me. In this tool I started thinking to technology and numerous platforms in a different way by seeing how something can be used in many ways that are useful. In the first draft I did a game that was not up to date or creative when I saw other games and searched on google how to create a creative game, I learned new ways and was capable of creating a fascinating game. In this tool I learned things about myself like always trying to think out of the box through searching online and coming out with new ideas, so I learned that I am creative. After creating the game on google slides I developed skills of creating a outstanding presentation that is full of graphics voices and 3d photos. I like everything on google slides the only thing I didn’t like is I had to learn everything though tutorial video because I am a mac user, but after using it I saw that there are numerous options to create something creative. I will surely use this tool in my future courses because I am now capable of creating a great presentation that will surely amuse my professors.
Zoom was used once or twice in class, but I see zoom as the most useful source for any academic, and I could only realize that when everyone shifted to zoom during the pandemic. The fact you can see all your colleagues and professors online with great options like sharing screen and recording the class is the most useful resource for everyone now incase the world shuts down. Zoom made me learn many things about myself like I am an organized person, and I am person that can use technology in a useful way because before that I thought I had only the simple techniques of technology but zoom made me see the importance of technology and how I must always be up to date with technology and all the new apps. I learned how to share screen and record a class and raise my hand from all those learning the experience on zoom made me feel that I was inside class. Zoom is surely a long life tool that will be used for all upcoming semesters in case the world closes again due to the pandemic, and I am actually going to use anyways with my friends and family that live abroad or students I need to meet with to for a group project.
The third tool is slack which I found was the most beneficial and helpful to keep all of the class up to date with any questions from colleagues and helpful comments from the professor. I learned how to easily communicate in the matter of seconds with slack and I can text people privately if I want if I have a specific question to anyone about the course or how they did something. I learned that there is a tool with numerous channels based on the topic which keeps everything organized unlike WhatsApp topics flow everywhere without having each topic alone. While using I learned something about myself which is I can have apps that are useful for education and communication with other students this app let me learn that I have a part in which I want to reach out to ensure that all my assignments are suitable for the requirements. I developed better communication skills because it made me become braver to ask a question without being shy and this question is asked Infront of 21 students. I really liked that the app connected all students and the professor in the same time, so help was always offered easily unlike other classes that took a lot of time to receive an answer on important questions. I would like to use this app in the future in all my classes because to be honest this app helped me to always be up to date and be ready to prepare for any assignment before the deadline.
Adobe premiere is a tool I used in another class called Audio production. I learned how to edit videos and how to connect sounds and then export the audio clip to an mp3.Collecting natural sounds around by recording them and including them in the audio clips to be honest I learned a lot form this app. I discovered that this app is a major part of my future because my major is Multimedia Journalism which I surely need to be capable to produce videos and edit them and record interviews professionally. I learned that I am actually creative and anything by practice can be easily learned , this app made me believe more in my capabilities and showed me that I must keep trying until I reach my goal. I also so that the computer is not for presentation, word document and excel and there is also extra things that can produce really signifigant projects. I liked the end results of the projects I did on the app, but during the process it was hard, and it took me hours to understand how to use the app and integrate to the fact of creating a whole video and editing really good to meet the requirements. After learning how to use this tool I will surely use it later in my courses to surprise my professors and go beyond the requirements.
The final tool that I enjoyed the most and made me love writing and reflecting is WordPress because it makes me to share my ideas freely, and I have shared my blog with many of my friends and family to show them my ideas and what I took in the course. I learned how to create and edit my blog and how to polish it , and then have a link for each blog if I want to share it with anyone. This tool is really helpful and keeps all of the assignments in one place which helped me to clearly see where I am in the course and what I missing and what I need to do to ensure I am on the safe side. I learned some new things about myself while using this tool which is actually I like reading and writing because it helps to clearly express myself and show all my ideas. The skills I received using this tool is expressing myself and improving my writing skills which will help me a lot in life because I started to write a lot after seeing how it is so useful and easy to express my feelings and opinion about anything. I liked that I can share with family, friends and the professor my assignments in class and opinion, but what makes me worried in this tool or what I dislike is that people may see some mistakes that I made grammatically which makes realize that I want to have perfect writing skills to be confident while using this tool.I will for sure use this tool in the future in all my courses even if it is not required because It is easy to access from any device and anywhere. This tool will help me have all the assignments in one place and get to it anytime I want .
There is a lot of things I learned in this course about myself to be honest because I had to do many activities that showed me I am creative and capable of getting out of the box. I could clearly see that through the activity of creating a game I could create a creative game full of scenarios that had a nice storyline like a movie.
There are certain things I will use for my academic life each term like creating an ALTCV that shows who I am in all the upcoming semesters I will prepare a new ALTCV that shows who I am and present it to my professors and colleagues. In my social life I will raise awareness of everything I learned in the digital literacies pathways because I gained so much information. I will make sure that people are being safe online and understand that a lot of information is
being taken to a cloud and how people should not depend that much on technology. In my career I want to influence people through giving information that is useful and I will try to do that through sharing important and useful information on my blog.

There are certain assignments I would love to change in this course like the Soliya platform activity because it was hard for me to attend because I don’t like to have classes with people abroad and exchange information with strangers. I know the importance and the benefit from such activity, but my experience from other courses with similar activities was really boring so I may cancel such activity. I would also like to change the self-assessment or grading because one expects high grades depending on their effort not the requirements met. I honest am sure that everyone sees that what he or she did is the best they could do at the time being, so one must get the highest grade which to be honest is not true because the are certain requirments one must meet.
I am happy to have a lot of strengths in my results. Firstly I am capable of creating and innovating with the use of technology because i use technology a lot because of my major. I use adobe premium and I know how to edit videos and produce podcasts, as my major is multimedia journalism. I also worked in a couple of companies so I learned how to create company profiles, brochures, and how to attract clients through certain content as I used to work in a marketing agency. Find and use in digital content needs improvement ,as I am not the best in this area; for example, if I have a research paper the tools online is not so useful for me because I keep going to numerous websites that I really don’t know whether it is trusted or not. In addition, this part has been hard for me since I was a kid. However, I am looking forward to improving my skills in this part because it is a must in my academic career and most probably it will be useful after I graduate. Identify and well being I am confident in this part, which made me happy. Tools and technology was competent, so I have the necessity due to my major, but I think I can improve way more than the part I reached at the moment because technology is endless and people use it in numerous ways.Communication part is confident because I know how to communicate using technology because there are many platforms that I use to communicate with friends and family. I use technology on a daily basis to communicate with friends and family I use WhatsApp, Facebook, instagram, facetime , iMessage and messenger, so basically all technological platforms created for communication through technology I use it daily.
Reflection on :Knowing the Difference Between Digital Skills and Digital Literacies, and Teaching Both

I really liked the last paragraph Using judgment because I totally agree that technology gives us power, and I thought Wikipedia was a good source for information, but after reading I discovered that some powerful authors do block other authors from writing their perspectives of a certain topic, which results that this source is not credible and not useful as I thought it would be.
I also like the fact that digital literacy is not to gain skills of the use of technology, but how to raise our awareness of why we are reading a topic and why we are writing about, so I really like to be capable of raising my awareness and clearly recognize my actions while using technology.
In the paragraph of critical thinking I liked the part that professors must raise our awareness of the risks of technology and how we should not put a lot of information online. I was surprised how a photo on Facebook may affect a future job because I never imagined that is something possible.
Goals for this semester:
I want to read and learn more about digital literacies. I really want to get more in depth understand the topic more clearly with examples of real life showing the importance of digital literacy. I will reach this goal through choosing the path of Theory path, which I will be reading three articles, and reflecting on them. It is clear throughout this article that while there is certain accountability measures it is unclear who these companies are accountable for and thus we can see a lot of unclear and unequal actions. Firstly, during the peaceful protests in 2020 in Nigeria many people went to social to show the world what was going on in Nigeria, however Nwachukwa Egbunike reported that many of the posts with the #endSARS were mislabeled as false information and basically removed from Facebook and Instagram. These actions outraged the Nigerian citizens as they their vice was basically cancelled, although Facebook apologized regarding their algorithms and blamed the hashtag for being relatively close to SARS the virus, gave no clear response as to what they would do to prevent this from happening again. However, while they apologized its clear that it wasn’t very sincere and that there might’ve been ill intent as many protests and movements around the world are shown on Facebook and instagram but aren’t removed or censored. It is clear that different locations around the world must go through a lot of censorship and injustice to have their voices heard on social media, while other countries such as the US can have hashtags regarding protests become trending as seen before in the capitol raid. This not only demotivates people in these countries but also minimizes the chances of having the world pay attention and help, this was also seen during the Palestine and Israel conflict, where many Pro-Palestine posts were being removed and it required millions of people especially those living in other countries to post about it so that it gave attention to the problem.
Another example in the article shows the injustice and inequality that Rosemary Ajayi say. While running for elections her team say that there were a lot of negative posts about her that spread misinformation remain on the platform while Twitter took a stance to stop misinformation. While there are many tools to prevent this from happening on Twitter they weren’t used in Nigeria which is unethical as such tools are regularly used in the US and UK. This matched the information that Sophie Zang brought up where she stated that many decisions and actions were took to affect politicians and even presidents. So its clear that these platforms can greatly impact current events however these platforms decide when or who they use it against or with, for example the allegations that Facebook heavily impacted the US elections by either promoting or removing content. These platforms have a lot of power to change peoples views and even motivate them in certain directions, hence they must be accountable so that these tools are used effectively and fairly as to reduce the injustice.
Decode The Default Diversity? Not Yet:
According to the article, that the internet reflects to a rare case of diverse terms as in ethnicity or gender, it’s considered white and mostly US centric. The mainstream of the default in the internet would basically be white, and noted for being a male and being an American. That is totally disclosing the lack of black and non-Americans as well as female representation, and that is considered a main concern as it ignores racial justice and it is dominating race factors over the performance, and that is not leaving any space for those who are other than white American male. At least this is the presentation of the internet and technology fellows.As the founder of Crypto Harlem, Matt Mitchell, states that the lack of diversity in technology companies is not a main concern as the problem isn’t with the race, and the problem is with the work environments created by technology companies. So, the blame moves to the environment that makes black, females and non-Americans don’t feel comfortable in the field. He believes that the discrimination and sexism only has one solution and it’s to adjust the technology companies to an environment that comforts all races. There is a concern in the blind spots as a result of the lack of diversity in the mindset of the tech workforce. Discrimination becomes more and more disclosed in the daily life as the basic functions such as cameras, sensors and AI are all made in concern of certain users. An example of this discrimination would be automatic motion soap dispensers not detecting dark skinned hands, so there you notice that the problem is in the mindset, environment, and ethics of the technology workforce. As this doesn’t present a huge issue that we need to focus on, but if we don’t start acting upon such discrimination it will affect the racial justice in the our near future. Bringing up these concerns is so important for public awareness as this discrimination is going to have an impact on the future, and also the environment as a whole needs to be adjusted to racial justice as it is the basic form of equality. As in most cases we see diversified companies and firms in different fields, but when it comes to the internet, technology workforce, software development, etc.. there is an issue raised as we don’t find diversity and it’s considered not yet diversified.

Basically gig workers are treated as contractors and not employees, hence aren’t given the benefits and advantages of being an employee. Such advantages include an hourly rate and paid vacation Meaning these contractors are paid based on their work results and not their hourly rate, also the fear of immediate termination with no notice depending on the company they are working for
I believe gig workers must ask for their rights to have a stable income because in any human’s life stability income is a must. Finally Spain’s Supreme Court announced that drivers for the food delivery app Glovo were employees not freelancers. When one is dedicated to their work on a daily basis they should be recognized as employees not freelancers one believes that all supremer courts around the world must give the gigs their rights, and announce that they are employees.
Examples of rights are fair pay, fair contracts, and fair management. The European Union took action by improving protection for people working in the platform economy.
The ADCU with worker information exchange had bought two lawsuits against Uber and one lawsuit against Ola cabs, all lawsuits are requiring the disclosure of workers profile and fraud probability scores, as both companies had fired drivers without disclosure without any information that would lead to such an action. That obviously shows the effect of not having employee rights . Human rights are not being taken and sometimes laws are incapable of giving the gig workers their basic rights. The ADCU and worker info exchange believe that not accessing digital rights is just as not accessing working rights , and that clearly shows that gig workers are put in a really bad situation when it comes to rights, as they don’t have the safety in the work environment as they can be kicked anytime with no rights received.

Story:1 Misinfodemics and COVID-19
Facebook and YouTube offices were shut down due to the pandemic. There was posts about the pandemic and they were removed because technology took action not human thought. There was no control of what should be removed, and systems were making a huge mess. The system needs a huge improvement and humans are always in need to fact check what is happening and what is being posted. I believe technology will help to remove misinformation on social media platforms, but will not be the full solution as human interaction is still needed.
Story:2 Social media as evidence and memory
Videos of human rights can vanish in seconds automatically if it is considered terrorist content . For justice to remain in place people should see what is happening around the world without videos being vanished. Syrian archives helped to resolve this problem to have proof of what happened for investigators through having there platform with all the content available. I believe this is the best solution for the time being to have proof of what is happening because according to researcher Jeff Deutch in some cases the archives are the only proof that people have. One believes that social media must always show people the good and bad side of the place they are living at and the world. I hope all countries have organizations like the Syrian archives organization to ensure the rights of the people and share the truth to journalist and investigators.
Story 3: Politics of online attention
In the 2019 election in Nigeria the researcher Rosemary Ajayi discovered that hundreds there were hundreds of tweets of hate speech and disinformation that was not removed. It was hard for them to reach twitter and the content moderation did not remove anything. Here I can clearly see that major platforms are not well modernized and technology could not take proper action for hate speech and disinformation which can cause major problems in countries. It is Sade that this was based in Nigeria because tools on twitter to protect elections in the United Kingdom was not available in Nigeria. This is so upsetting to realize the difference of location can cause carless actions from a really big company like twitter, and important content tools that are not available. This can cause a lot of violence in Nigeria. I can clearly see that twitter is not an efficient platform that people can depend on because things that can cause violence in a country must be removed in the matter of seconds, as we can clearly see in this story this did not happen. I believe governments must be included in platforms that are incapable of taking actions to ensure the countries safety and certain platforms like twitter must be banned in Nigeria for such careless act that can cause a disaster.
Story 4: Drug harm reduction and education
In Poland an organization named SIN was raising awareness of drug abuse and the harms it could cause. There page had more than 4,000 members that are working on one mission of raising awareness. The page was banned for “violation of community guidelines”. In this part I can not believe how social media can ban such important group that raises a really important case for teenagers and the community to be well educated of what may happen from drugs. In this part I can see that Facebook wants everything shared to be entertaining or profitable for them because as mentioned there was not much of ads paid. The effort of 5 years of work of the SIN members has disappeared in seconds and I believe something like that is unfair.
Story 5:Coding feminist alternatives
Many women and no-binary people face online harassment that is overwhelming for them.Sadly content moderation does not remove such harassment or it is not prioritized. Danish parliament decided to take action and help those people through creating a plug in called Opt-Out that hides tweets that is offending from people, and it is a machine learning model. It is a feminine software that will help hide anything offensive from females and no-binary people. I am proud to see that people are taking action and are using technology to save the public from harassment. It is hard for the team to solve the problem because it is not recognized by platform. Her aim is to let the users on twitter to decide what they want to see and what they do not want to see as result what will be shown on their page is what they desire.Danish Parliament says “we took a big sister moderation system instead of Big Brother moderation system”, which I personally see really appealing because women must be considered of what they want to see and ensure that they are not offended at all.
Story 6 : coordinating civic principles for user rights
Transparency reports of major platforms keep being updated to gain as much information possible. I personally started recognizing the importance of reading the privacy terms to ensure the safety of my data; on the other hand, one believes that many of the major platforms is useful and important to have to stay updated of the news globally and to contact friends and family. There is a conference that happened in 2018 to take care of content moderation named the Santa Clara principles this major conference took place in California. I am so happy to see that major platforms abided these principles. I never knew that some advertising agencies put content in a way that content moderation can not take action against them and they can still reach their targeted audience.
Privacy Included: Rethinkingthe Smart Home
Smart homes could be wiser:
If you have a smart refrigerator with a camera your usage of what is in the fridge is uploaded on a cloud which honestly creeps anyone out why would such information be important to anyone. This information helps to show who you are and what you like, and sadly it even shows when you are home. Consumers never know what smart televisions, doorbells and refrigerators data they collect and to whom they give the data to. There are seven solutions to ensure your safety and privacy. I will be reflecting on those seven solutions.
Solution number 1 : Make your own things
I like this solution, but I see it is really hard to enforce it for everyone to do there own things or technology they need to ensure that all the data is not collected on a cloud with the usage of machines or people. I believe if there is numerous organizations created with the same objective which is ensuring people’s privacy with no data collection it could become worldwide and stop the giant technology developers from collecting any data. The Bary net organization was capable of creating system that was private and does not share information to the cloud or anyone. This organization’s target is to inspire people to work and create systems that are private and don’t share any data to anyone. According to consumer’s needs people will not be satisfied with technology that is not up to date, so the creation of any systems must be up to date.
Solution number 2: Rate more products on privacy and security
This is the most ideal solution because each organization tackles privacy and security in their own matter and as mentioned in the article smaller organizations tackle security and privacy different than larger organizations in their own manner, with both benefits and disadvantages. Hence, having a standard way of rating the security and privacy approaches of different organizations can both hold organizations accountable while informing consumers of what they should expect.
As mentioned in the article the new collective effort to develop a Digital Standard has resulted in the foundation of the digital labs in 2019 which tests companies such as Amazon, Google, and Facebook in their privacy standards and this has resulted in many flaws that have since been fixed. These investigations and methods of testing has created a safer environment for both companies and consumers as just like organic food certifications.
Solution 3:Demand more interoperability.
While this solution can create an open source environment where a company doesn’t necessarily force you to use their products, which increase the information that they have on you, it increases the risk aspect as your information is contained in different companies. This solution would allow consumers to use different products depending on their needs and have them interconnect and usable across their various products. Now-a-days companies such as amazon allow users to use a variety of their products including Alexa, Ring and Thermostats, these allow Amazon to gather a lot of information on their consumers habits and they are usually not compatible with products from competitors such as google, this causes consumers to stick with amazon products so that they are compatible with their previous products creating an Amazon ecosystem such as Apple. However, all of amazons products rely on the internet and Amazons web service meaning that you are always connected to the internet and increases the risk of external intruders on your network. However, companies such as Snip allow users to use products without access to the internet allowing users to use a variety of smart home products without the risk of external threats. This issue can clearly be seen through many cases where intruders gained access to cameras that rely on the internet and where able to see the home owners which is a large threat homeowner need to think about.
Solution 4: Business models matter
I like the fact that there is an alternative for google assistance and Amazons Alexa which is Snips and this was announced in 2018. Snips will take good care of people’s privacy. Snips offer custom solutions instead of voice controlled devices. Another advantage of snips is that it is one time fee. Snips do not collect data like Amazon and google.
I totally agree that the most reliable for privacy to be enhance is to limit the collect of data. I hope all platforms stop collecting people’s data because data should not be collected no matter the cause is because data collection is not ethically right. The problem is that people can not stop using platforms or the technology because it makes life easier.
Solution 5: Push for better privacy regulation
The government took action against companies which had public scandals which involve information taken illegally and forced them to pay fines which will make companies fear taking information. Major platforms like Amazon, Google, Apple, Facebook Messenger were forced to collect less data after they were slammed with allegation by the U.S Federal Trade Commission. Sadly the protection of children’s online privacy is not the best.
Comprehensive data collection will help to ensure that people will be more safe and data collection will decrease as a result everyone will be safer without being drained from platforms that are always spying on the people. In conclusion if strong data privacy regulation increased there will be way more protection for internet users, and people will depend more on digital services.
Solution 6: Protect people
now-a-days consumers get faced with pages of agreements in regards to privacy and security and in most cases they don’t go through all the pages especially that certain legalities and agreements and hidden on purpose from consumers in millions of lines and unnecessary information making it almost criminal. These agreements and clause are brought to light whenever a consumers expresses any problems. This was seen in many apps that said to do something however were collecting information and when problems were brought up certain clauses were presented to show that consumers agreed to this however this was ill intent and a clear violation of consumer trust.
Hence policy makers and stakeholders should strive to make companies explicitly show their security and privacy agreements and clauses that way consumer can rest assured that they know what they are going into. Especially that most of the consumers don’t have a legal background, or dont have enough knowledge to understand the terminology in agreements.
Solution 7:Does it really need to be online ?
We live in an age where privacy nearly doesn’t exist. Nothing is free, in order to use any free app, platform, or device consumers are aware that the price they are paying is their data and privacy. In order to install a smart home, homeowners basically give away all their privacy including information and the risk of external threats as everything is connected to the internet. While you may be accepting of your information being gathered, many visitors aren’t and there is no established way of informing them that they might be recorded.
Due to our strive of evolving our household with smart accessories many people are overlooking the risks involved with adding unnecessary products especially those that aren’t tested or held to certain standards. Thus consumers shouldn’t jump on any new products but instead wait until a product that is tested and critically installed to make sure that their information is stored safely.

I really enjoyed this activity because I was capable to learn on hand with real situation that happened in life. I learned a lot about digital literacies from the articles I read in the 2020 reports and the other publications that Mozilla insights published. I did the first activity in the blog to see my strengths and weakness to learn what I need to work on and what I am confident in. This activity helped me to see my goals for the semester and what I can do to improve my skills and learn as much as I can in the course.
To be honest I really liked the article that the professor Maha Bali wrote that showed clearly the difference between digital literacies and digital skills.
The fact that there was numerous options of digital literacies pathway made me so happy because I chose what I really enjoy doing and I hope all professors do the same activity based on the course syllabus and content.
All the information I learned from experiences and real life situations amazed me because if it was not for this course I wouldn’t have took the decision of reading any of the articles or learning about it. The articles raised my awareness a lot and helped see how privacy on the internet is really important especially with reading the privacy terms of any app. Another thing I never knew is the apps like Uber do not consider the drivers as employees they consider them as freelancers that don’t get paid like employees and do not have much rights if not any.
I see the importance of technology in my life and see its benefits, but after reading the articles I saw the importance of seeing the odds and one must try their best to take care of the privacy terms on any app or any technology because yes technology is helpful.I was amazed when I found out that technology employees and environment does not have racial justice, as there is still undiversfied workforce that shows clear discrimination, and that came to me as a surprise.
After seeing my classmates’ games, and the feedback I received I made numerous changes in the game. The first thing I changed is I started the game by explaining a background of the character, so people can have a mindset of what the game is , or in other words put themselves in the situation of the game to be capable of enjoying the game. The visuals changed the theme of the game a lot. I tried to put in each slide a visual that relates to the question and visuals that relate to the result of each decision in the game. The game did not have much depth, or each decision taken was not clearly explained of what exactly happened, so I added a lot of details on each decision taken. I added 5 more scenarios.
Here are some comments that I received from my colleagues that helped to change a lot of things in the game. First of all, it suddenly finished when there was no game over. Secondly, there was no background in the beginning of the game. The comments I received from the professor were similar . The comments I received were as follows 1. The game feels brief and bland 2.The story has only 5 scenarios instead of 10 3.) things happen but they don’t leave an impact on player 6. I should use more visuals.
If I had more time I would have used it for the first draft because to be honest I did really bad in the first draft. I would also try to add some voices to the game to make the player feel more suspense. If I had more time I would try to find people with similar experience to have based on numerous people’s experience . I would have tried to think of other topics as well to choose from, but I felt that this is the best topic because I personally experienced it. For the final draft of the game I did all the modifications I saw were best to make the game as if it is a new game and I relied on all the feedback I received.
I learned how to create a game and how to modify it. I learned to put myself in someone’s shoes to imagine how a game goes. I also recognized that my personal experience can help people. After creating the game I realized that I must look at all situations in the past and analyze it and try my best to learn from it.
My game will be about living in another community for two years which is based on my personal experience.
From a couple of years I had to leave Cairo and go to Alexandria because I wanted to live with my family, as my father’s job is there.
I went to a new school with people that had a different mentality and way of living.
1.) you feel that you are left out and unwelcomed because everyone around you are friends since they were kids.
2.) I learned that one must adopt to be able to enjoy life.
3.) The school was not with the same standards of the school I went to in Cairo which was an eye opening for me because it showed me that I used to live in a bubble.
4.) when we were kids school was everything, so it was the main thing that showed us everything in life because we spent almost 8 hours a day in school.
I believe that self development is something really important in my life. Even if it starts with small steps that will end to with great achievements. I have been doing something constantly that has made me feel that I am so happy which is self gratitude on a daily basis. I try appreciating everything I am doing by thanking myself and I am trying my best to never be harsh on myself. On a daily basis I am always thanking myself about everything simple I am doing.
Self gratitude has made me so happy because I have the feeling that I love myself way more instead of blaming myself on everything I am doing or feeling that it is wrong. I learned that being harsh on myself takes me nowhere. On the other hand, self gratitude makes me more motivated to keep doing more things that make me happy and will be beneficial. Self gratitude made me realize that the second you start appreciating your actions and yourself the more you will have the energy to do more things that will be beneficial for you.
I did enjoy this game much because it was full of unhappy situations that made me lose interest. In the meantime, there were situations that were true because it was about going back to campus during the pandemic, and some decisions that must be taken.
I learned that certain decisions must be taken on campus with classmates even if you will make them upset because one must make sure to be safe and take all the decisions to try their best to keep their family safe.
In this game some decisions were mandatory I would prefer to have more than one decision.
To be honest I was stressed during playing this game because it made me imagine the fathers that do not care about their children, and it made me take certain decisions imagining I am a mother with a careless father that makes life so hard on me and my daughter.
I learned that I must be a future father that never stops caring about my family no matter what happens even if I have a divorce. Children should have a wonderful love no matter what.
I think an easy way of improving this game is putting a part for the father decisions on how he will take decisions with the single mom and his daughter .
In this game I did enjoy it much because I had to announce some fake news to gain followers, but in the same time the credibility kept going down, so in the end I gained a great position, but I the credibility kept going down.
I learned that going up by fake news and things that grab attention may make you more popular if you work in journalism, but you will surely lose a big part of your credibility.
The game can be improved by giving more choices to people and helping them to gain credibility instead of having them choose the bad decisions to just be more popular and have more followers.
I tried to exclude myself while playing this game by playing imagining this is not me under any circumstance because I love my father so much and I cannot imagine losing him, but it was so stressing.
I learned that not everything is taken for granted, and i must continue appreciating the fact that I have my family with me and spend as much time possible with them.
An improvement to this game is to not put so harsh decisions and not make the player feel that he is the one in the situation because to be honest it is so worrying.
Comparison
In the 6 games I played four at home and 4 at home. 5 of them I felt I was stressed because the decisions were harsh and all of them made me feel I was inside a harsh situation. Overall, the games were real situations that one may imagine if I keep thinking in the future. I am an overthinker and these games made me feel that I should not overthink and keep imagining what will happen in the future.
1.) To be honest something that stood out is that many Americans were against president Donald Trump from building a wall that keeps Mexicans, Muslims, and Syrian refugees out of America. During that time I watched many videos that supported his decision which really made me angry, and I thought that the majority are supporters of such miserable action.
The second part the truly stood out for me is unconscious bias. When people from the same race or social class nothing happens to the brain’s anterior and on the other hand when there is someone with a different social class or race the brain triggers. I expected being bias is something one may take action of and is not something that happens unconsciously.
2.)Belongingness is the part I love the most where people from other groups reach out to other groups and welcome them in the group and if everyone in each group decides to reach out to another group and welcome people we can all become one group with nothing defining us and accepting others the way they are without making them feel different. I can relate to this part because when I was a kid I used to love in Dubai in the school I went to it Egyptians were a minority and when some of the students and teachers welcomed me I was so happy and I made a lot of friends as many of the people reached out to make me feel home. I believe such action made me accept everyone, and since that day I have reached out to many people that feel unwelcome or different.
3.) I liked all the solutions and I can see that all readers must follow the solution they can see that is easy for them and suits them. What I have been doing and will continue doing is reaching out to others and welcoming people, but I will start to reach out to more and more people from different social classes and different countries to try to show that we all are humans and should accept each other no matter what.
